Happy Mother's day....

hmm...today we celebrate international mother's day...every second sunday in May.

my friends once asked me..have you sent mother's day card to your mum? and i replied..errrr..our mother's day is on every 22nd dec..

and they asked...ooo..i c...but how come it's different from international mother's day?

mother's day has its own history...it's from greek ancient story. ancient greeks celebrated a holiday in honor of Rhea, the mother of the gods. whereas ancient Romans celebrated a holiday in honor of Cybele, a mother goddess, March 22-25 - the celebrations were notorious enough that followers of Cybele were banished from Rome

Christians celebrated this festival on the fourth Sunday in Lent in honor of Mary, mother of Christ. In England this holiday was expanded to include all mothers and was called Mothering Sunday.

apalagi di tengah situasi seperti sekarang ini, saya biasanya selalu mencari perlindungan dan bermanja" dengan mama...memang yach...berapapun umur kita, kita akan selalu menjadi anak kecil yang lemah dan manja kalau sudah bertemu mama...
